2-If you are working on saturday and sunday dont join infosys (for IT).<\/p>\n
3-Whatever time define in your task complete within time.<\/p>\n
Fire all people who fall in criteria 1,2,3.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s half past 8 in the office but the lights are still on\u2026 PCs still running, coffee machines still buzzing\u2026 And who\u2019s at work? Most of them ??? Take a closer look\u2026<\/p>\n
All or most specimens are ?? Something male species of the human race\u2026<\/p>\n
Look closer\u2026 again all or most of them are bachelors\u2026<\/p>\n
And why are they sitting late? Working hard? No way!!! Any guesses??? Let\u2019s ask one of them\u2026 Here\u2019s what he says\u2026 \u2018What\u2019s there 2 do after going home\u2026Here we get to surf, AC, phone, food, coffee that is why I am working late\u2026Importantly no bossssssss!!!!!!!!!!!\u2019<\/p>\n
This is the scene in most research centers and software companies and other off-shore offices.<\/p>\n
Bachelors \u2018Passing-Time\u2019 during late hours in the office just bcoz they say they\u2019ve nothing else to do\u2026 Now what r the consequences\u2026<\/p>\n
\u2018Working\u2019 (for the record only) late hours soon becomes part of the institute or company culture.<\/p>\n
With bosses more than eager to provide support to those \u2018working\u2019 late in the form of taxi vouchers, food vouchers and of course good feedback, (oh, he\u2019s a hard worker\u2026.. goes home only to change..!!). They aren\u2019t helping things too\u2026<\/p>\n
To hell with bosses who don\u2019t understand the difference between \u2018sitting\u2019 late and \u2018working\u2019 late!!!<\/p>\n
Very soon, the boss start expecting all employees to put in extra working hours.<\/p>\n
So, My dear Bachelors let me tell you, life changes when u get married and start having a family\u2026 office is no longer a priority, family is\u2026 and That\u2019s when the problem starts\u2026 b\u2019coz u start having commitments at home too.<\/p>\n
For your boss, the earlier \u2018hardworking\u2019 guy suddenly seems to become a \u2018early leaver\u2019 even if u leave an hour after regular time\u2026 after doing the same amount of work.<\/p>\n
People leaving on time after doing their tasks for the day are labelled as work-shirkers\u2026<\/p>\n
Girls who thankfully always (its changing nowadays\u2026 though) leave on time are labelled as \u2018not up to it\u2019. All the while, the bachelors pat their own backs and carry on \u2018working\u2019 not realizing that they r spoiling the work culture at their own place and never realize that they would have to regret at one point of time.<\/p>\n
So what\u2019s the moral of the story??
\n* Very clear, LEAVE ON TIME!!!
\n* Never put in extra time \u2018 unless really needed \u2018
\n* Don\u2019t stay back unnecessarily and spoil your company work culture which will in turn cause inconvenience to you and your colleagues.<\/p>\n
There are hundred other things to do in the evening..<\/p>\n
Learn music\u2026..<\/p>\n
Learn a foreign language\u2026<\/p>\n
Try a sport\u2026 TT, cricket\u2026\u2026\u2026..<\/p>\n
Importantly,get a girl friend or boy friend, take him\/her around town\u2026<\/p>\n
* And for heaven\u2019s sake, net cafe rates have dropped to an all-time low (plus, no fire-walls) and try cooking for a change.<\/p>\n
Take a tip from the Smirnoff ad: *\u2019Life\u2019s calling, where are you??\u2019*<\/p>\n
Please pass on this message to all those colleagues and please do it before leaving time, don\u2019t stay back till midnight to forward this!!!<\/p>\n
IT\u2019S A TYPICAL INDIAN MENTALITY THAT WORKING FOR LONG HOURS MEANS VERY HARD WORKING & 100% COMMITMENT ETC.<\/p>\n
PEOPLE WHO REGULARLY SIT LATE IN THE OFFICE DON\u2019T KNOW TO MANAGE THEIR TIME. SIMPLE !<\/p>\n
